Is it normal to argue every week with your partner?
Arguing every week isn’t automatically a sign your relationship is in trouble; what matters is how the arguments go and whether anything gets resolved. If the same fights keep repeating or you feel afraid, belittled, or worn down, it’s worth taking seriously.
Lots of couples disagree regularly, especially when life is stressful or they’re still figuring out how to communicate. A weekly argument can be manageable if you both feel safe speaking up, treat each other with respect, and can make up or find a way forward afterward.
The bigger clue is the pattern: are you solving things, or replaying the same fight with no change? Insults, threats, controlling behavior, or feeling scared to disagree aren’t just ordinary couple friction. A calm conversation about the recurring issue—or couples counseling if you both want it—may help.
