Privacy, briefly

There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies on isitnormal.to.

Questions you ask

When you ask a new question, its text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to write an answer. The cleaned-up question and answer are stored and published so others can find them. Please don't include names or personal details. We strip what we can, but it's best not to share them in the first place.

Votes and limits

To prevent double voting and abuse we store a one-way, salted hash derived from your IP address. We never store the address itself. Vote receipts expire after a year. Your own vote is also remembered in your browser's local storage.

Hosting

The site runs on Amazon Web Services. Standard server logs may be kept for a short time for security.
