Is it normal to be angry all the time?
Getting angry is normal, but feeling angry nearly all the time can be exhausting and is worth paying attention to. Stress, poor sleep, conflict, or other struggles can contribute, and support can help you figure out what’s underneath it.
Anger is a normal response to feeling hurt, overwhelmed, frustrated, or treated unfairly. But if it feels like your default setting, or it’s affecting your relationships, work, or sense of well-being, you don’t have to shrug it off as “just how you are.” Stress, lack of sleep, ongoing conflict, and other emotional or physical factors can all play a part.
Try noticing when the anger shows up and what tends to happen beforehand. If it’s persistent or hard to manage, talking with a therapist or healthcare professional could help you understand the pattern and find ways to feel more in control. If you’re worried you might hurt yourself or someone else, get immediate support from someone you trust or local emergency services.
