Is it normal to be jealous of everyone?
Jealousy is a common feeling, but feeling it toward nearly everyone can be tiring and may point to comparison or insecurity getting under your skin. Having the feeling doesn’t make you a bad person; what matters is how you respond to it.
Most people feel jealous now and then—of someone’s relationship, confidence, opportunities, or apparently effortless life. When it seems like you’re jealous of everyone, it may be less about each person and more about feeling dissatisfied with your own situation or constantly measuring yourself against others.
You don’t have to shame yourself for the feeling. Try noticing what a particular bout of jealousy is telling you that you want, then focus on what you can do for yourself rather than resenting the other person. If it’s taking over your thoughts or causing trouble in your relationships, talking it through with someone you trust could help.
