Is it normal to be obsessed with someone?
Getting intensely wrapped up in someone—especially during a crush—is common. It’s worth paying attention if the fixation takes over your life or pushes you to ignore their boundaries.
A big crush can make someone occupy a frankly ridiculous amount of your brain. You might replay conversations, check for messages, or daydream about them; that’s common, and it often eases with time or as you get to know them better.
The useful line is whether it’s still just a strong feeling or starting to run your life. If it’s disrupting sleep, work, or other relationships—or leading you to track them, repeatedly contact them, or disregard a no—take a step back and talk it through with someone you trust. Feelings happen; respecting their boundaries is your responsibility.
