Is it normal to cry before and after work?
Crying before or after work can happen when you’re stressed, overwhelmed, or dreading the day. If it’s happening regularly, it’s a sign to look at what’s making work feel so hard—not something you have to just push through.
It’s not unusual to cry when work is weighing on you. You might be dealing with a difficult workload, a tense workplace, burnout, or the strain of keeping it together all day and letting go once you’re home.
An occasional cry isn’t a problem by itself. But if it’s becoming a regular before-and-after-work routine, try to name what’s driving it and consider talking it through with someone you trust. If the distress is sticking around or spilling into the rest of your life, getting support from a mental health professional could help.
