Is it normal to drink shower water?
Unusual.Less common, but harmless
Accidentally swallowing a little shower water is common; deliberately drinking it is less common. It’s usually not a concern if the water is safe to drink, but the cold tap is a better choice.
If you mean getting a mouthful while showering, that happens to plenty of people. If you like drinking from the shower on purpose, it’s a bit unusual, but not automatically a problem.
Shower water usually comes from the same supply as your tap, though plumbing and the showerhead can affect its cleanliness. For a regular drink, use cold water from a drinking-water tap instead.
