Is it normal to eat chicken bones?
Depends.It depends
Eating soft cartilage or tiny bits of marrow is one thing; chewing or swallowing hard chicken bones isn’t a good idea. Cooked bones can splinter and cause choking or injury.
If you mean the soft cartilage around joints, or a little marrow, plenty of people eat that. But actual chicken bones—especially cooked ones—can break into sharp pieces, so they’re not safe to chew or swallow, even if you’ve seen someone do it.
If you already swallowed a bone and have trouble breathing, pain, vomiting, or trouble swallowing, get medical help promptly.
