Is it normal to fight at the beginning of a relationship?
Depends.It depends
Some disagreements early on are normal as you learn each other’s habits and expectations. Frequent, intense fights or feeling afraid to speak honestly are warning signs, not just new-relationship growing pains.
A disagreement early on doesn’t mean you’re doomed. You’re figuring out how to communicate, what each of you expects, and where your differences are—sometimes with a few bumps along the way.
What matters is how you handle it. Can you both listen, take responsibility, and repair things afterward? If you’re fighting constantly, insulting or controlling each other, or walking on eggshells, that’s worth taking seriously. Early chemistry is nice; basic respect is nonnegotiable.
