Is it normal to fight every day in a marriage with kids?
Many couples argue sometimes, especially under the stress of raising kids, but fighting every day is a sign that something needs attention. It doesn’t automatically mean your marriage is doomed, but it can be hard on both of you and the kids.
Parenting can pile on stress, sleep loss, money worries, and endless little decisions, so tension between partners is common. But there’s a difference between occasional disagreements and feeling like you’re in a fight most days. That pattern can leave everyone at home walking on eggshells, even if the arguments seem to blow over quickly.
It may help to talk when you’re both calm about what keeps triggering the fights, and consider couples counseling or another trusted source of support. If the arguments involve threats, intimidation, or physical harm—or either of you feels unsafe—focus on safety and reach out for help rather than trying to handle it as an ordinary communication problem.
