Is it normal to hate school so much?
Yes, it’s pretty normal to hate school sometimes, especially when it feels stressful, boring, or socially exhausting. If it’s making you miserable most days, it’s worth telling someone you trust and figuring out what’s making it so hard.
A lot of people dislike school—even people who do fine there. The workload, early mornings, rules, social pressure, or just having to be somewhere you don’t want to be can make it feel like a daily slog. You’re not lazy or ungrateful for feeling that way.
There’s a difference between “ugh, school” and feeling miserable or panicky about it most of the time. If something specific is going on—like bullying, a class that feels impossible, or feeling totally overwhelmed—talking to a trusted adult can help you find a way to make it more manageable. You don’t have to love school to deserve support.
