Is it normal to have a crush on your sibling?
Unusual.Less common, but harmless
It’s less common, but confusing or unwanted feelings can happen and don’t make you a bad person. The important thing is to keep clear boundaries and not pursue a romantic or sexual relationship with your sibling.
A sibling can be someone you’re very close to, and sometimes intense affection, admiration, or confusing feelings get tangled up. A passing crush or thought doesn’t define you, and you don’t have to act on it or give it a label.
A romantic or sexual relationship with a sibling isn’t something to pursue. Keep your interactions within ordinary sibling boundaries; if the feelings are persistent, upsetting, or you’re worried you might act on them, talking privately with a therapist can help you sort them out without judgment.
