Is it normal to have grey hair at 13?
Unusual.Less common, but harmless
It’s less common to have gray hair at 13, but it can happen and is often genetic. A few gray hairs usually aren’t a problem.
Gray hair can show up in your teens, especially if it runs in your family. Sometimes hair turns gray early for reasons that aren’t obvious, and it doesn’t automatically mean anything is wrong.
If it appeared very suddenly, is spreading quickly, or comes with other changes in how you feel, mention it to a parent or guardian and ask a healthcare professional about it. Otherwise, a few gray hairs are usually just an unexpected hair-color quirk.
