Is it normal to keep farting?
Yes—passing gas throughout the day is normal, and some days you’ll do it more than others. Food, fizzy drinks, and swallowing air can all make you gassier.
Everybody farts; it’s part of digestion, even if the timing can be deeply inconvenient. Beans, some vegetables, dairy for people who don’t digest it well, fizzy drinks, and eating quickly can all turn up the gas. There isn’t one magic “normal” number, and your usual pattern matters more than the occasional extra-tooty day.
If the farting is a sudden, ongoing change or comes with significant pain, persistent bloating, diarrhea or constipation, blood in your stool, or unexplained weight loss, check in with a healthcare professional. Otherwise, your body is probably just doing its very ordinary thing.
