Is it normal to not feel any romantic passion?
Yes, some people rarely or never feel romantic passion, and that doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you. Others feel it only in certain situations or at certain times in life.
People experience romance differently. You might want closeness, companionship, or sex without feeling swept up in romantic passion; you might also relate to the aromantic spectrum, which describes people who feel little or no romantic attraction. Romantic and sexual attraction aren’t the same thing, either.
There’s no required amount of passion you’re supposed to feel, and you don’t need to force yourself into a label or a relationship that doesn’t fit. If this is a sudden change from how you usually feel and it’s bothering you, it may be worth thinking about what else has changed in your life—but not feeling romantic passion by itself isn’t a problem.
