Is it normal to not fight in a relationship?
Yes, some couples rarely or never have big fights, and that can be perfectly healthy. What matters is whether you can disagree honestly and work through problems without either person feeling silenced.
Not every couple argues, and a peaceful relationship isn’t automatically a fake or avoidant one. Some people have similar values, communicate early, or simply don’t turn disagreements into fights. Couples also have different ideas of what counts as a fight—one person’s serious argument may be another’s ordinary conversation.
The useful question is whether you both feel safe bringing up annoyances, needs, and disagreements. If “we never fight” really means one of you swallows everything to keep the peace, resentment can quietly pile up. You don’t need dramatic arguments, but you do need room for honest conversations and repair when something goes wrong.
