Is it normal to only be attracted to your own race?
Yes, attraction can be strongly focused on people of your own race, and you don’t have to force yourself to feel attraction. It’s also worth separating personal chemistry from assumptions or stereotypes about other groups.
People’s attraction is shaped by all kinds of things, including familiarity, culture, and who they’ve been around. Some people mostly or exclusively feel attracted to people of their own race; others don’t notice race much in who they’re drawn to. There isn’t one required pattern.
You don’t owe anyone attraction, and a preference by itself doesn’t make you a bad person. If it feels useful, you can reflect on whether it’s simply who you click with or whether broad assumptions about other races are narrowing your view—but there’s no need to pressure yourself into dating anyone.
