Absolutely. The old-school etiquette rule says someone else should host, but plenty of people plan their own shower now—especially if they have a clear idea of what they want, or nobody has offered to organize one. It’s a celebration, not a test you have to pass in etiquette class.

You can also split the difference: ask a friend or relative to be the official host while you help with the guest list, venue, or details. The main thing is to make the invitation feel welcoming rather than like guests are being handed a bill or a list of obligations.
