Is it normal to smell fishy after eating seafood?
Depends.It depends
A fishy smell on your breath soon after eating seafood can happen and usually fades. A persistent fishy odor elsewhere on your body isn’t usually caused by the meal and may be worth checking out.
If the smell is mainly on your breath right after eating fish or other seafood, that’s not unusual. Food can linger on your breath for a while, and washing your hands can help if the smell is on your skin from handling it.
If the odor sticks around, or seems to come from vaginal discharge or urine rather than your breath, don’t assume seafood is the cause. A persistent fishy vaginal odor in particular can have other causes, so consider getting it checked.
