Is it normal to walk a cat?
Depends.It depends
Yes, people do walk cats, but whether it works depends on the cat. Some enjoy exploring in a harness; others would rather stay indoors, thank you very much.
Walking a cat is a real thing, though it’s less universal than walking a dog. Some cats enjoy sniffing around outside when they’re introduced to a well-fitted harness gradually; plenty find the whole production stressful or simply refuse to budge.
If your cat seems relaxed and curious, keep outings calm and use a harness rather than attaching a leash to a collar. If they crouch, panic, or try to escape, it’s fine to call the walk off—your cat doesn’t need outdoor strolls to be a perfectly normal cat.
