Is it normal to argue at the beginning of a relationship?
Depends.It depends
Some disagreements early on are normal as you learn each other’s habits and communication styles. Frequent, intense fights—or arguments involving insults, threats, or control—are worth taking seriously.
A disagreement early in a relationship doesn’t mean you’re doomed. You’re figuring out how to handle differences, expectations, and misunderstandings, and lots of couples have a few bumpy moments while they get to know each other.
What matters is how you argue and what happens afterward. Being able to listen, cool down, apologize, and work toward a solution is a good sign. If you’re fighting constantly, walking on eggshells, or dealing with put-downs, threats, or controlling behavior, that’s more than ordinary growing pains.
