Is it normal to argue every month?
Arguing about once a month can be normal, especially when you can talk it through and repair things afterward. The more important clues are how intense the arguments get and whether the same issues keep causing hurt or fear.
A monthly argument isn’t automatically a sign that your relationship is in trouble. People can care about each other and still clash over stress, chores, money, plans, or plain old misunderstandings. Some couples argue more often; others almost never do.
What matters is how you argue: can both of you speak without insults or intimidation, listen, and make up in a way that actually changes something? If every argument turns cruel, leaves one of you afraid, or repeats without anything getting resolved, it’s worth taking that pattern seriously. Otherwise, a disagreement now and then is just part of being close to another human who has their own opinions.
