Is it normal to argue in a healthy relationship?
Yes, even healthy couples argue sometimes. What matters is whether you can disagree respectfully, listen, and repair things afterward.
You’re two different people, so disagreements are part of being close—not proof the relationship is doomed. Lots of healthy couples argue now and then, especially when they’re stressed or sorting out something important.
The useful question is less “Do we argue?” and more “How do we argue?” You should both be able to speak up, take a breather if things get heated, and come back to the issue without insults, threats, or trying to control each other. Being able to apologize and make changes afterward matters, too.
If arguments regularly leave you feeling afraid, belittled, or unable to disagree safely, that’s more than ordinary couple friction.
