Is it normal to argue with your husband every day?
Couples can disagree often, but arguing every day may mean the same issues are staying unresolved or the way you communicate is wearing you both down. What matters is whether you can repair things and feel safe and respected, even when you disagree.
Some couples have more friction than others, especially during stressful stretches or big life changes. But if you’re arguing every day, it’s worth noticing whether you’re actually working through problems or replaying the same fight on a loop.
Pay attention to how the arguments go: Can you both listen, calm down, and make up? Or do they involve insults, threats, control, or one of you feeling afraid? You don’t have to treat constant conflict as just “how marriage is.”
If you both want things to improve but keep getting stuck, a calm conversation outside an argument—or help from a couples counselor—may give you a better way to tackle the pattern. If you feel unsafe, reach out to someone you trust and prioritize your safety.
