Is it normal to argue with your spouse every day?
Spouses can disagree often, but arguing every day can wear you down if the fights are intense or never get resolved. What matters is whether you can talk respectfully, repair things afterward, and feel safe with each other.
Couples argue about everything from chores to money, and some people have a more fiery style than others. A daily disagreement isn’t automatically a sign your marriage is doomed—but if every conversation turns into a fight, it may mean something important keeps getting missed or left unresolved.
Pay attention to how you argue, not just how often. Being able to cool off, listen, apologize, and find a workable compromise is very different from insults, threats, fear, or the same fight replaying with no repair. If it’s taking over your home life, consider talking it through with a couples counselor or another trusted source of support.
