Is it normal to be attracted to animals?

Sexual attraction to animals is uncommon, though feeling affectionate toward an animal or finding one cute is very common. Whatever the feeling, don’t act on it: animals can’t consent, and sexual contact can harm them and may be illegal.
If you mean sexual attraction, it’s less common than simply loving animals or thinking they’re adorable. People can feel unsettled or ashamed about an attraction they didn’t choose; having a feeling isn’t the same as acting on it.
Animals can’t consent, so keep firm boundaries and don’t involve an animal sexually. If you’re worried you might act on the urge, talk privately with a qualified mental health professional and make sure you’re not alone with an animal in the meantime.
