Is it normal to be obsessed with a crush?
It’s common for a crush to take up a surprising amount of your thoughts, especially when the feelings are new or uncertain. It’s worth rebalancing things if it’s taking over your day or pushing you to ignore their boundaries.
Crushes can make your brain replay every conversation, decode tiny signals, and daydream about what might happen. That intensity is pretty common, and it often eases as you get to know the person or the uncertainty settles.
The useful question is whether it still leaves room for the rest of your life. If you’re neglecting sleep, work, friends, or your own plans—or repeatedly contacting or monitoring them despite signs they want space—step back and put some energy into other parts of your life. A strong feeling is human; respecting their boundaries is still important.
