Is it normal to crack your back?
Mostly.Normal for most people
Yes—back cracking is common, and an occasional painless pop is usually nothing to worry about. Avoid forcing it, especially if it hurts or leaves you feeling worse.
Lots of people crack their backs by stretching or twisting. The popping sound often comes from changes in pressure inside a joint, and it doesn’t automatically mean anything is wrong or that your back is “out.”
A painless crack now and then is generally fine. Just don’t wrench or force your back to make it happen; if cracking comes with pain, numbness, weakness, or keeps bothering you, get it checked.
