Is it normal to crack your elbow?
Mostly.Normal for most people
Yes—an elbow that cracks or pops now and then is usually normal, especially if it doesn’t hurt. Pain, swelling, or trouble moving it is a reason to get it checked.
Elbow pops can come from pressure changes in the joint or tendons shifting as you move. Lots of people get occasional joint cracks, and the sound alone usually isn’t a problem.
If it’s painless and your elbow moves normally, you generally don’t need to worry or keep trying to make it crack. If the cracking comes with pain, swelling, stiffness, or limited movement, get it checked out.
