Is it normal to dislike being touched?
Mostly.Normal for most people
Yes. Plenty of people dislike being touched, or only enjoy it with certain people, in certain situations, or when they’re expecting it.
Touch is personal, and people vary a lot in how comfortable they feel with it. You might dislike hugs, feel overwhelmed by unexpected contact, or simply prefer to show affection in other ways. None of that means you’re cold or don’t care about people.
It’s completely okay to set a boundary—“I’m not much of a hugger” is enough explanation. Some people love casual touch, while others would rather keep a little space; both are normal. If your feelings about touch have changed suddenly or are causing you a lot of distress, it may be worth talking it through with someone you trust or a professional.
