Is it normal to fight early in a relationship?
Depends.It depends
Some disagreements early on are normal as you learn each other’s habits and communication styles. Frequent, cruel, or intimidating fights are a warning sign, not just part of getting to know each other.
Early in a relationship, you’re still figuring out how to handle differences, so the occasional disagreement isn’t automatically a bad sign. What matters is whether you can talk it through, listen to each other, and make up without keeping score.
If you’re fighting constantly, insults or threats are involved, or one of you feels afraid to speak honestly, take that seriously. A new relationship doesn’t have to be conflict-free, but it should feel basically respectful and safe.
