Is it normal to hate everyone while pregnant?
Feeling unusually irritable or fed up with people can happen during pregnancy, especially when you’re tired, uncomfortable, or overwhelmed. If the anger feels constant, intense, or unlike you, it’s worth telling your prenatal care provider.
Pregnancy can bring big mood shifts, and it’s not unusual to feel short-tempered, less patient, or like you want everyone to leave you alone. Hormonal changes may play a part, but so can nausea, poor sleep, physical discomfort, stress, and the sheer amount of change you’re dealing with.
That doesn’t mean you truly hate everyone—or that you have to feel cheerful about being pregnant. If this feeling is sticking around, making daily life hard, or comes with deep sadness or anxiety, let your prenatal care provider know. You deserve support, not a lecture about being grateful.
