Is it normal to be annoyed by your partner when you're pregnant?
Yes, it’s common to feel more easily annoyed with your partner during pregnancy. Hormonal changes, fatigue, discomfort, and stress can all make little things feel much bigger.
Pregnancy can turn your patience into a very short fuse, especially when you’re tired, uncomfortable, or carrying a lot of worries. Sometimes your partner’s perfectly ordinary habits just happen to be the thing that gets under your skin that day.
Lots of pregnant people feel this way, and it doesn’t automatically mean you love your partner less or that something is wrong with your relationship. It can help to tell them what you need—more help, a little space, or perhaps just fewer loud chewing noises for now.
If the irritation feels overwhelming or comes with persistent sadness, anxiety, or hopelessness, mention it to your prenatal care provider; support is available.
