Is it normal to hate kids?
Depends.It depends
It’s normal not to enjoy being around kids or to feel sure you don’t want any. Feeling intense hostility is different; what matters is treating children safely and decently.
Kids can be loud, unpredictable, and a lot to deal with, so plenty of people would rather not spend time with them. You don’t have to like kids, want your own, or pretend you find them adorable to be a good person.
“Hate” can also mean you feel genuinely angry or hostile toward them. You can choose distance, avoid kid-focused situations when possible, and still be polite. If you’re worried you might lash out or hurt a child, step away and get support from someone you trust.
