Is it normal to hate pregnancy in the first trimester?
Mostly.Normal for most people
Yes. The first trimester can feel miserable, and you don’t have to enjoy being pregnant to be grateful, excited, or a good parent.
Lots of people struggle with the first trimester: nausea, exhaustion, food aversions, and feeling unlike yourself can make the whole experience hard to like. You might also feel frustrated or disconnected from the pregnancy, and those feelings don’t make you a bad person or mean you won’t feel differently later.
People have mixed experiences—some love pregnancy, some hate parts of it, and some feel both at once. If you’re having trouble keeping fluids down or have severe pain or bleeding, contact your pregnancy care provider.
