Is it normal to hate working out?
Yes—lots of people hate working out, especially when it feels boring, uncomfortable, or like a chore. You don’t have to love exercise; finding a kind of movement you dislike less is a perfectly good goal.
Absolutely. Some people enjoy the gym, but plenty find workouts tedious, sweaty, intimidating, or just one more thing to squeeze into the day. That doesn’t mean you’re lazy or doing anything wrong—you may simply not enjoy the usual idea of “working out.”
If you want to move more, try things that don’t feel like a formal workout: walking somewhere pleasant, dancing, gardening, or playing a sport. You don’t have to become a fitness person or learn to love burpees. And if you don’t want to exercise right now, you’re allowed to be honest about that, too.
