Is it normal to hate your job every morning?
It’s common to dread work, especially when you’re stressed or burned out, but hating it every morning is a sign that something may need to change. You don’t have to talk yourself into believing a job that makes you miserable is fine.
Lots of people have mornings when they’d rather do literally anything than go to work. A tough workload, a bad manager, boredom, or feeling underappreciated can turn that into a regular routine—and it doesn’t mean you’re lazy or ungrateful.
If it’s happening every morning, try to pin down what you hate most: the work itself, the people, the schedule, or how the job is affecting the rest of your life. Sometimes a conversation, a boundary, or a different role helps; sometimes the job just isn’t a good fit. You don’t need to quit on the spot, but you’re allowed to take the feeling seriously.
