Is it normal to hate your job sometimes?

Mostly.Normal for most people

Yes—lots of people hate their job now and then, especially during stressful or frustrating stretches. If that feeling is constant, it may be a sign something about the job needs to change.

A bad meeting, an unfair boss, too much work, or just a Tuesday that won’t end can make almost any job feel unbearable. Having those moments doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful or in the wrong career; plenty of people like parts of their work and still complain about it.

If you dread going in most days, though, it’s worth paying attention. You might need better boundaries, a conversation about what’s not working, or a plan to look for a different role. You don’t have to love your job—but you shouldn’t have to feel miserable all the time, either.
