Is it normal to have zero friends?
Yes, you can have zero friends and still be perfectly okay; it can happen during a life transition or simply because your social circle is small. If you feel lonely or wish you had closer connections, that matters too—and you can work toward building them at your own pace.
Having no friends doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you. People can end up without close friends after moving, changing jobs, going through a breakup, or growing apart from the people they used to know. Some people are also content with lots of alone time and keep most of their connections casual.
The key question is how it feels to you. If you’re happy with your own company, you don’t need to collect friends to meet some social quota. If you feel lonely, start small: reconnect with someone you like, or spend time around people who share an interest. Friendships often grow from repeated, low-pressure contact—not from instantly finding your new best friend.
