Is it normal to never feel lonely?
Yes, some people rarely or never feel lonely, especially when they enjoy their own company and feel connected in other ways. It’s only worth questioning if you’re isolated in a way that bothers you or you’re avoiding relationships you actually want.
People vary a lot in how much company they want. If you’re content on your own, have a few connections that feel meaningful, or simply don’t experience loneliness strongly, there’s nothing wrong with that. Being alone and feeling lonely aren’t the same thing.
It can be worth checking in with yourself if “I never feel lonely” really means you’ve stopped reaching out because closeness feels unsafe, or you’re cut off from people and unhappy about it. But if your life feels good as it is, you don’t need to manufacture loneliness to prove you’re normal.
