Is it normal to not always be attracted to your partner?
Yes. Attraction to your partner can ebb and flow with stress, mood, health, and the ordinary rhythms of a relationship; it doesn’t have to be switched on every moment for the relationship to be real.
It’s normal not to feel attracted to your partner all the time. Attraction can shift with stress, fatigue, conflict, routine, or simply what’s going on in your life—and sometimes you’re just not in the mood. A relationship isn’t a constant audition where you have to find each other irresistible every day.
If the lack of attraction feels persistent, bothers you, or comes with feeling disconnected, it may be worth talking openly with your partner about what’s changed and what might help you feel closer. But an occasional dip by itself doesn’t mean you’ve stopped loving them or that something is wrong.
