Is it normal to not be good at anything?
Yes—it’s common to feel like you’re not good at anything, especially when you’re comparing yourself with others or expecting yourself to be instantly skilled. That feeling doesn’t mean it’s true; plenty of abilities take practice before they feel like strengths.
A lot of people have stretches where everyone else seems talented and they feel like the one person with no obvious “thing.” You may be overlooking skills that feel ordinary to you, or judging yourself against people who’ve had much more practice.
You don’t have to be exceptional at something for it to count, either. Try noticing what you enjoy, what you’re willing to keep learning, or what people quietly rely on you for. And if this feeling is weighing on you, it can help to tell someone you trust rather than treating it as a fact you have to solve alone.
