Is it normal to not be sexually attracted to your husband?
It can happen, and it doesn’t make you a bad spouse. Whether it feels okay or points to something you want to address depends on how you feel about it and what’s behind the lack of attraction.
Sexual attraction can shift over time, and stress, conflict, feeling disconnected, life changes, or simply how you experience attraction can all play a part. Some people love their partner deeply without feeling much sexual desire; others find a change in attraction upsetting or a sign that something in the relationship needs attention.
You don’t owe anyone sex, including your husband. If you want to understand what’s going on, consider whether this is a recent change or has always been true, and talk with him honestly without blaming yourself. If you’re both open to it, a couples counselor or sex therapist can help you sort through the conversation—not to pressure you into feeling something you don’t.
