Is it normal to not feel attracted to your partner sometimes?
Yes. Attraction can ebb and flow, and a temporary dip doesn’t automatically mean you’ve stopped loving your partner or that the relationship is doomed.
It’s normal for attraction to change from day to day or through different stretches of a relationship. Stress, low mood, exhaustion, conflict, routine, and simply having your attention elsewhere can all turn the spark down for a while. You don’t have to feel swept away every time you look at your partner for the relationship to be real or healthy.
People differ in how much that matters to them: some barely notice a dip, while others find it unsettling. If it’s been a lasting change or is bothering you, it may help to think about what’s shifted and talk with your partner kindly—without treating one patch of lower attraction as a verdict on the whole relationship.
