Is it normal to not poop on vacation?
Mostly.Normal for most people
Yes—travel can throw off your usual bathroom routine, and plenty of people get temporarily constipated on vacation. It often settles once you’re back to your normal food, fluids, movement, and schedule.
Vacation constipation is a real, common nuisance. Different meals, less water, long stretches of sitting, a changed schedule, or feeling uncomfortable using an unfamiliar bathroom can all make your gut put things on pause.
Drink fluids, get some movement, include fiber-rich foods, and go when you feel the urge. Poop schedules vary, so a short break from your usual routine isn’t automatically a problem. Get medical advice if it lasts more than a week or comes with severe pain, vomiting, or blood in your stool.
