Is it normal to poop corn a week later?

Mostly.Normal for most people

Seeing bits of corn in your poop is common because its outer layer doesn’t digest well. A week is longer than food usually takes to pass, though, and you can’t tell for sure which meal it came from just by looking.

Corn’s tough outer coating can survive digestion, so seeing recognizable bits in your stool is a familiar (if slightly alarming) sight. Food usually moves through your system in a few days, but timing varies, and the bits you spot may not be from the corn you ate a week ago.

If you’re regularly going a week between bowel movements, or you have ongoing pain, vomiting, or blood in your stool, get it checked out. Otherwise, an occasional corn sighting is usually just your digestive system showing off its less impressive recycling skills.
