Is it normal to want to be alone during pregnancy?
Mostly.Normal for most people
Yes—wanting more time alone during pregnancy is common. You may be tired, overwhelmed, or simply need more quiet than usual.
Pregnancy can take a lot out of you physically and emotionally, so wanting fewer plans and more time to yourself is understandable. It doesn’t mean you don’t care about the people around you, or that you’re doing pregnancy wrong.
There’s a difference between choosing some quiet time and feeling persistently cut off, hopeless, or unable to enjoy anything. If that’s happening or your mood is making daily life hard, bring it up with your pregnancy care provider; you deserve support, not a guilt trip.
