Is it normal to yell when you're angry?
Mostly.Normal for most people
Yelling when you’re angry is common, especially when you feel overwhelmed or unheard. It’s still worth paying attention to if it happens often or leaves people feeling scared or hurt.
Anger can make your voice rise before you’ve had a chance to think it through. Lots of people yell sometimes, especially in heated arguments or stressful moments; it doesn’t automatically mean there’s something wrong with you.
That said, yelling can be intimidating, even if you don’t mean it that way. If it’s becoming a regular pattern, try taking a pause and coming back to the conversation when you can speak without shouting. You can also apologize afterward and talk about what set you off without excusing the yelling.
