Is it normal to be very angry during pregnancy?
Feeling more irritable or angry during pregnancy is common; stress, fatigue, and big physical and life changes can all play a part. If the anger feels overwhelming, sticks around, or is disrupting your life, bring it up with your prenatal care provider.
Yes—pregnancy can turn the volume up on emotions, including anger. Hormonal shifts, poor sleep, discomfort, stress, and the weight of a major life change can all leave you with a shorter fuse than usual. That doesn’t make you a bad person or mean you’re not happy about the pregnancy.
If the anger is intense or frequent, feels hard to control, or is affecting your relationships or daily life, tell your prenatal care provider. You deserve support, and you don’t have to wait until things feel unbearable to ask for it.
