Is it normal to have crying spells during pregnancy?
Mostly.Normal for most people
Yes, crying spells are common during pregnancy. Hormonal shifts, fatigue, stress, and big life changes can all make emotions feel closer to the surface.
Pregnancy can turn the emotional volume up, and sometimes a small frustration—or no obvious reason at all—can bring on tears. That doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong, and plenty of people experience it.
If the crying feels constant or overwhelming, or comes with persistent sadness, hopelessness, or loss of interest in things you usually enjoy, mention it to your pregnancy care provider. Support is available, and you don’t have to wait until it feels unbearable to bring it up.
